The US SME Toolkit is a cutting-edge set of assets launched by the International
Finance (IFC) of the World Bank and IBM to help women, minority and other
constituent-owned businesses implement sustainable business management practices
in the United States. This new section focuses on the needs of businesses
owned by Persons with Disabilities and service disabled veterans.
IBM has dedicated close to $2 million to build the Toolkit platform in order
to improve usability and performance, provide enhanced functionality and
create a resource hub, learning location, and meeting place for entrepreneurs.
Content on the site addresses accounting and finance, business planning,
human resources, legal and insurance, marketing and sales, operations, and
technology needs. The US SME Toolkit also includes: a Spanish language version,
Small Business Learning Series videos and complimentary business tools, featuring
Lotus Symphony, My Own Business Start up Training Course, Lotus Sametime
Unyte, ShopFactory website builder and Wicked Start, a personalized start
up planner.
