USBLN® "I Am, I Can, I Do" National Public Education Campaign
The USBLN® is very proud to launch our national public education campaign
titled, "I Am, I Can, I Do." The campaign includes a series of 30 and 60
second Public Service Announcements (PSAs) showcasing people with disabilities
who 'Do!'
AMC Entertainment Inc., a USBLN® member company, debuted the first
in this PSA series in their theatres nationwide on September 30, 2011. The
showings continued through October in celebration of National Disability
Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The USBLN® PSA was aired in 5,000
movie theaters nationwide reaching over 20 million viewers!

U.S. Department of Labor Issues Proposed 503 Rulemaking Released
The US Business Leadership Network (USBLN®) wishes to recognize the Secretary
of Labor, Hilda L. Solis and the department's Office of Federal Contract
Compliance Programs (OFCCP) Director, Patricia A. Shiu for their leadership
in focusing on this important issue. The USBLN® looks forward to reviewing
the proposed rule and providing their input into the formulation of the
government's final rule on hiring, advancing and retaining individuals with

Veterans Service Project a Huge Success at the USBLN® Annual
Conference
As we celebrate our military veterans on Friday, November 11, 2011, and bow
our heads at the 11th hour, let us think about the returning veterans with
apparent and non-apparent disabilities for whom adjustment to civilian life
is over-whelming. Far too many of our heroes are experiencing homelessness
and are living on the streets or are couch-surfing.
On October 17, 2011, following the first day of the USBLN®'s 2011 Annual
Conference, conference attendees and speakers and USBLN® members and
staff joined members of the Kentucky AmeriCorps and the Kentucky Commission
on Community Volunteerism and Service on the "assembly line." We were there
to fill 30 boxes with basic kitchen supplies that included dishes, flatware,
pots and pans and cooking utensils.
