Three years ago, I attended a kick off meeting for a new ERG in Bayer called HOPE (Helping Other People Elevate). There were over 40 participants who attended that session and it was very enlightening to see the immediate support that we had received from each other. Since then, I have been the National Lead for HOPE of which has over 200 members. HOPE has a dual focus, both to the internal & external communities by organizing educational events covering Education & Intervention, Mental Health, Legal Planning, Personal-Professional Development and Job coaching. I feel very fortunate to be part of this organization as I am a parent of a special needs child and fully understand how difficult it can be to find the right resources and support to meet your child and family’s needs.
