Heather Morgado brings over 20 years of Commercial & Human Resources experience to BI. In January 2018, she joined the Americas Diversity, Inclusion, Culture & Engagement (DICE) team. Heather’s career with Boehringer Ingelheim began in 2013.
As the Associate Director – DICE, she provides leadership, alignment and execution of the BI Diversity, Inclusion Culture & Engagement strategy as well as drives the synergistic efforts across the Americas and US business units to ensure proper alignment to overall business strategy and priorities. In addition, Heather partners closely with the Global Diversity & Inclusion organization to achieve BI’s Diversity Aspiration.
Heather manages external relationships and partnerships with organizations to deepen BI’s presence, brand and ROI. She leads the strategic efforts in developing customer facing D&I Councils and engages BI’s internal Business Resource Groups to ensure value for and support from the business.
To ensure a seamless and positive experience for new hires, Heather oversees the New Hire Orientation for Human Pharmaceuticals and collaborates globally on best practices and enhancements.
Prior to joining the Americas DICE team in 2018, Heather managed BI’s Academic Relations & Diversity team within the Talent & Learning Organization and continues to collaborate on recruiting and outreach.
Heather is an active member of the Advisory Board the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University, BA with a concentration in HR and completed a Master’s Certificate program in HR from Cornell University School of ILR. Her personal passion is yoga and she is a certified Yoga Instructor in many specialty areas including prenatal, chair and anxiety, depression & PTSD.
